Voting on Election Day

If you choose to wait until the last chance to vote, which is Election Day, you must go to your assigned precinct, which is determined by your home address from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. This is why it is important that you notify us if you have moved, so that we may direct you to your correct Election Day precinct. You can find your precinct online, by calling 3-1-1 or checking your voter information card.

Additionally, you should review your customized sample ballot. This is a sample of your specific ballot, which contains the races and questions that apply to you. Print it or take a picture of it and make your selections in advance and bring them with you when you go to vote. You should not be looking at your ballot for the first time while voting. Doing research will make you an informed and confident voter. When you know your selections in advance, it will also speed up the process for you and everyone else in line.

Lastly, photo identification is required when voting in-person. You must bring a current and valid identification that contains your name, photograph, and signature (if you don't have one ID that contains both a picture and signature, then you can provide a combination of IDs from the approved list below).

  • Florida driver license
  • Florida identification card issued by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles
  • United States passport
  • Debit or credit card
  • Military identification
  • Student identification
  • Retirement center identification
  • Neighborhood association identification
  • Public assistance identification
  • Veteran health identification card issued by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs
  • A license to carry a concealed weapon or firearm issued pursuant to § 790.06 F.S.
  • Employee identification card issued by any branch, department, agency, or entity of the Federal Government, the state, a county, or a municipality
